After using the Oral-B iO6 twice a day for a few weeks, my overall feeling is that it’s a very capable toothbrush with a couple of clear drawbacks.
On the positive side, it cleans really well, feels smoother and quieter than the older Oral-B models, and the pressure sensor with colour feedback actually helps you stop overbrushing. My teeth felt properly clean and my gums calmed down a bit once I got used to brushing lighter. The different modes are not just decoration either – Sensitive and Super-Sensitive genuinely make the brush more comfortable if your gums are touchy.On the downside, the battery life is just average for the price. Expect roughly a week between charges with normal use, which is fine but nothing special, especially if you’re used to brushes that last two weeks or more. The 2‑pin charger without an adapter is another small but annoying detail, and the fact you only get one head in the box doesn’t help the value, given how much the iO heads cost. The app and A.I. tracking are interesting for the first few days, but most people will probably stop using them regularly.If you want a premium-feeling electric toothbrush, care about protecting your gums, and don’t mind charging it weekly, the iO6 is a solid option and does its main job very well. If your budget is tight or you just want something simple that cleans decently, a cheaper Oral-B model will get you most of the way there for less money. In short: good brush, strong cleaner, but you’re paying partly for tech and branding, not just for raw performance.
